Dear friends,

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. No gifts to purchase, no fancy clothes needed. The only requirement is that you pause for a moment during this season when it seems you can actually feel time itself moving forward and think about the many blessings in your life.

It’s a holiday when I’m particularly reminded of the importance of family. I’m thankful to be a part of so many: my at-home family, my work family, my faith family, and the Catholic Charities family. I feel like our team also gets to be a part of the families we serve through adoption, foster care, and pregnancy & parenting support. We’ve had a year where our dedication to the mission has really shown up, where the love of the work and the lives we touch has been on full display because of the complex challenges we’ve tackled together.

Those family bonds are the constant in our lives even as everything around is changes. I’m so grateful to be in this moment, working with these folks, doing our part to make the world a better place.

I wish you a happy, gratitude-filled Thanksgiving!
