Good Shepherd Board Profile: Dr. Anthony Guarino
Dr. Anthony Guarino is a board-certified interventional pain management physician with more than 25 years of experience helping patients restore function and improve their quality of life. Living in the St. Louis region but working in central IL, he maintains an active clinical practice and is known for his expertise in minimally invasive spine and joint care and chronic pain management.
Dr. Guarino has also held leadership roles in pain management and served as an Associate Professor at Washington University in St. Louis, where he contributed to the education and mentorship of physicians for over two decades.
Guided by his Catholic faith and a deep commitment to service, Dr. Guarino was drawn to Good Shepherd’s mission of caring for vulnerable women and children, including those facing hardship, displacement, or lack of support. He views his role on the Board as an opportunity to give back, support those in need, and serve others with compassion and purpose.
