About Us:
We are Harold and Theresa. We met fourteen years ago when we were both new at the same job. We quickly became friends and started dating a few months later. It didn’t take us long to realize that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. We got married in 2014, and the past twelve years have been full of growth, joy, and adventure.
Theresa has been a high school teacher for twelve years, and Harold currently works in higher education administration.
We adopted our daughter, Josie, in 2024 through Good Shepherd. Our joyful Josie is full of energy, and she is always ready for an adventure. She loves going on walks and playing in the park. She also loves books and stuffed animals.
We love to travel when we can, and we love hiking in the St. Louis area, trying out new recipes and restaurants, and exploring area museums. Josie especially loves the zoo. We are Catholic, and our faith is very important to us. We go to church every Sunday as a family, and Harold serves by proclaiming the scriptures for the congregation. Josie loves to talk about baby Jesus and say, “amen!”
We live in a diverse, walkable neighborhood in St. Louis, near Theresa’s family and many of our friends. Harold was born in Mexico and grew up in Texas. We both speak English and Spanish, and we hope to raise our children to be comfortable in both languages and to have an appreciation for cultural diversity.
We are excited to grow our family through adoption.
