Dear Good Shepherd Family and Friends,

The meal table is such an important part of every family. It is around that table where relationship happens! It is where we are able to share successes, accomplishments, memories, as well as challenges, hurts and frustrations. It is where healing takes place, where the family is strengthened and preserved. Here at Good Shepherd the meal table is a place that is critical to our mission, specifically in our Maternity & Transitional Living Shelter.

A few months ago, I began having the honor of joining the moms and babies for regular lunches. It is there that I was able to meet some of the amazing women and children who are served through Good Shepherd and who you have so generously supported. I saw them arrive without drive, without joy and without hope. But after only a few days of their practical, emotional and spiritual needs being met, their countenance shifted and drive, joy and hope returned. At Good Shepherd we aren’t just about immediate stability, we are about a prosperous future for every mom and every child we have the privilege of sharing a meal table with.

And you are there with us, too. As a Good Shepherd donor, your faithful commitment to the mothers, children, and families we serve provides opportunities for healing, strengthening and preserving of these precious families. Thank you to those who have already supported Good Shepherd in 2022, but for those who have not, will you please consider a year-end gift?

I thank you for being a critical part of the good work done each day at Good Shepherd, and wish you a blessed New Year.

Gratefully,

Walker Hill, III, Chief Development Officer
