What a difference a month makes…

Our new Communications Coordinator, Emma Vonder Haar, has been on board for just about a month.  It was long overdue, given that our first search was a bust, and we started over with an updated position.  However, good things come to those who wait.  In our case, I think we can say, “God things come to those who wait,” because Emma has been a blessing.  In the course of a few short weeks, we have a Facebook page and Twitter feed that are getting daily attention.  We’re getting fresh, constructive new feedback on everything from our website and annual report to our newsletters and event promotion.  We even have our first Good Shepherd Christmas card, which is being mailed to over 400 people and features Emma’s original, mission-inspired artwork.  Emma hasn’t even completed her orientation fully, and she’s working on annual plans for communications and marketing that integrates with our strategic goals and fundraising plan.

Clearly our patience is paying off.  Thank you Emma!
