Good News—

We have locked in a recipient for the John Basilico Award for 2014.  On behalf or her late husband, Ivan, and herself, Sue Parada has agreed to accept the award in September.  Whereas this is a bit late for accepting a 2014 award, September was Ivan’s birth month, and it will also be the month of the 40^th anniversary of Sue and Ivan becoming Foster Parents for Catholic Services for Children and Youth (which became Good Shepherd in 2006).  Sadly, Ivan passed away early in 2014, but we felt it very important to recognize the Paradas as a couple, a loving team who cared for a host of children who benefited from their warmth and generosity.  More details will follow regarding the celebration and presentation of the award.

Don’t forget we have a Board meeting bright and early tomorrow.  We look forward to seeing you!
